Healing Hearts is a new initiative that launched in October 2025. 

The project was born out of a growing concern for the increasing number of children entering the foster
care system with behavioural and mental health challenges. Many of these children are misdiagnosed and treated only with medication, overlooking the root cause: attachment difficulties resulting from neglect, abuse, abandonment, or other parental issues. Without a sense of love, safety, and trust, these children struggle to form healthy relationships and often display escalating behavioural problems.

Healing Hearts seeks to address these challenges by equipping families with the tools and support needed to build strong, loving connections. We offer family bonding where biological, foster and adoptive parents teach lifelong skills for managing defiance and disciplining through connection.

Camps are held at various locations through the Northwest Province and lasts for a duration of 3 – 4 days.  Dedicated volunteers are placed with each family to assist in corrective discipline and help in family bonding activities.
