Year 1 is introduced when the child turns 16, or Grade 10. Year 2 and 3 will continue through Grades 11 and 12, and year 4 will start when the child has been discharged and is aged out of the foster system.   

Skills that will be presented to the child is as follows:

• Mental and emotional preparation for aging out
• Basic skills to earn my own money
• Education, work and future planning
• Food, nutrition and home management
• Social skills and etiquette
• Computer literacy
• Financial literacy
