Ur Share in Foster Care
Ur Share in Foster Care is our database project that have been with Vessels of Mercy since the beginning.
Over the years we have built a community of foster, adoptive and biological parents that needs financial help and support in behavioural problems.
We address these challenges through training, camps, financial support and many more of our projects.
We actively partner with local NPO’s to raise awareness about foster care; share valuable information and recruit prospective foster parents.
Current landscape for children in SA
South Africa is home to 19.6 million children, representing 35% of the nation’s population. Despite efforts to support vulnerable children, the system remains under tremendous strain. Many of these children live in hazardous conditions, highlighting the urgent need for effective foster care solutions.
An overburdened foster care system faces several critical challenges, including severe shortage of social workers and inadequate tools and resources.

How to join our database
1. Send us an email / WhatsApp to join our community or to become involved in foster care
2. All the relevant application forms will be sent to you to be completed
3. You will be added to our Community data base. For foster care the relevant child welfare organisation will be informed of your application.
