Ur Share in Foster Care is our program on sharing information on foster care. We are actively involved in the community in spreading information on foster care and also recruiting possible foster parents. We also run a database of possible foster parents.
Current landscape for children in SA
South Africa is home to 19.6 million children, representing 35% of the nation’s population. Despite efforts to support vulnerable children, the system remains under tremendous strain. Many of these children live in hazardous conditions, highlighting the urgent need for effective foster care solutions.

How to apply for our database
1. Send us an email to share how you’d like to be involved in foster care
2. An application form will be sent to be completed
3. We have an interview with you and discuss your application as well as any questions or concerns you might have
4. You will be added to the National database
5. When a child welfare organization contacts us, the process will be followed to see if you are a proper fit
